About this event
We often hear religious sayings that sound comforting or convincing but do not reflect the fullness of Christian faith. “Everything happens for a reason.” “God helps those who help themselves.” “God won’t give you more than you can handle.” In this two-week series, we will examine familiar examples of bad theology, consider why they can be misleading or harmful, and explore more faithful ways to speak about God, suffering, grace, and the Christian life.
