About this event
Join us for an engaging conversation between award-winning children's author and illustrator Gail Haley and Professor of English Mark West. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to view Haley’s original illustrations in person while she shares the stories behind her work. This special event will showcase the library’s extensive archive of Haley’s art, including linocut prints and blocks. We are pleased to present this program to mark the 50th anniversary of Haley receiving the Kate Greenaway Medal for distinguished illustration for The Post Office Cat.
The main event will be held in the Dalton Rare Book and Manuscript Room on the 10th floor of Atkins Library, followed by light refreshments in the adjacent 10th floor study area featuring the best views on campus.
Space is limited - please register by Nov. 5 at https://tinyurl.com/GailHaley2026
