South Blvd. Reading Buddies

About this event

We want to be your school aged child's reading buddy! Sign up your school aged child for a 30 minute reading buddy session to share in the joy and power of reading. With Library volunteers, students will read aloud favorite books and ask questions, build vocabulary, and make connections to their world. This semester will begin September 16-December 16. Sessions are available Wednesdays 5:30-6:00. Please call or register online for one of the available slots. Other Info: Children should be in K- 5th grade. Children should make a great effort to attend all scheduled reading buddy sessions, as volunteers are donating their valuable time to read with your child. Families are required to notify the Library branch at least 24 hours in advance if you will be absent. Children should not miss more than 3 sessions each semester. Children will give up their slot if they cannot adhere to absence requirements and placed on a waiting list. There will be no sessions when the Library is closed. Please be on time, or a few minutes early each week for your scheduled appointment. Please be prepared with a book to read as well! Want to be notified about future events?
