A beginner-friendly introduction to making art outside for anyone who has wanted to try plein air but isn't quite sure where to begin. We'll cover what to bring, how to simplify your setup, choosing a subject, finding a composition, creating quick thumbnail studies and handling changing light before taking those ideas outside and putting them into practice. The emphasis will be on observation and experience rather than creating a "perfect" painting.
