Dissection Club

About this event

Dissection Club is designed to engage students, educators, and practicing clinicians interested in furthering their knowledge of human anatomy. We gather an enthusiastic group of forever learners to pursue a better understanding of the human body through cadaveric dissection.

Dissection Club meets one Wednesday each month at our lab space in Charlotte, North Carolina from 4:00-8:00pm. Each session is independent from one another so you’re welcome to join at any point and participate in one or multiple sessions.

The focus of each session will be honed in on different regions of the body, highlighting structures such as the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, vascular network, and/or internal organs depending on what tissue is available. Our anatomists will help you develop specific dissection techniques as you navigate the human body and learn anatomical relationships like you’ve never seen them before.

Participants are welcome to simply observe or dissect. PPE is provided.

Schedule:

4:00-4:30 – Lab Orientation and Dissection Demo

4:30-6:00 – Dissection

6:00-6:15 – Break

6:15-7:45 – Dissection

7:45-8:00 – Clean Up
