- ➤ Catawba Two Kings Casino will transition from its temporary modular facility to a larger venue, adding 1,300 slot machines + 22 live table games, a new bar, and restaurant as part of its expansion opening in late March along I-85. - ➤ The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will perform at Byrnes Auditorium on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in a new partnership with Winthrop University that showcases the remodeled venue and offers free admission for students. Tega Cay Sun
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Fort Mill wrestling captured its fourth consecutive Class 5A state title with a 52 to 11 victory over Lugoff Elgin at White Knoll High School (finishing the season 31 to 0). The team will now focus on upcoming individual tournaments. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ On Monday, Feb. 9, the Catawba Ridge Copperheads set a record with 30 student-athlete signees for college sports, including 10 baseball players + athletes from lacrosse, soccer, football and track.
