  • The South Carolina Department of Transportation launched a statewide Pothole Blitz to repair road damage caused by winter weather — crews will work extra hours over the next several weeks, and motorists are asked to slow down for safety.  Tega Cay Sun
  • South Carolina lawmakers, led by Rep. Stephen Frank, have introduced the SNAP Nutrition Integrity Act which would ban candy and soft drinks from SNAP purchases—restrictions that will take effect six months after USDA approval if granted—and aim to improve nutrition for low-income families.  Tega Cay Sun

SPORTS NEWS

  • At the Trojan Relays track meet at Northwestern High, Fort Mill’s girls team won with 96 points while the boys set records in the Distance Medley Relay and 4×800 relay—showing strong local performance amid tough competition.  Tega Cay Sun
  • Doug Chapman earned his letterman’s jacket at Fort Mill High before the March 13 baseball game after nearly 60 years on the chain crew and 25 years keeping baseball scores.
