Good morning, Fort Mill.

HSYC shines a spotlight on local pets with Tom Collins, an 8-year-old cat who has overcome a mouth ulcer, and Tobias, a spirited 9-month-old dog recently rescued, at their Fort Mill facility while urging residents to donate cleaning supplies & foster animals as Kitten Season begins.

Residents can help track West Nile virus by submitting dead songbirds (blue jays, crows, house sparrows) at local DPH offices from March 16 through November 30; the program guides targeted mosquito control measures to reduce infection risk.

High school sports are busy this week as Fort Mill Prep, Catawba Ridge, and Nation Ford schools schedule baseball, lacrosse, soccer, and softball contests.

Games are set for afternoons and evenings at local schools (times may change due to weather and administrative adjustments).
