GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On March 17, the York County Council met at the government center and swore in new board and commission members. The council denied a rezoning request at Lurecliff Place in Fort Mill, debated an impact fee to help local schools, and discussed shifting EMS services to Atrium Health—actions that shape county planning and safety.  Tega Cay Sun
  • On March 17, York County Transportation Committee approved $3.1 million in transportation funds to be split equally among districts, with each receiving about $450,000 for local road repairs. The committee also reviewed road conditions and introduced an interactive map to track projects—measures that will guide future infrastructure improvements.  Tega Cay Sun
