- ➤ Fort Mill High School junior Joshua Prince won the JROTC All-Service National Air Rifle Championship at Camp Perry, Ohio, finishing first among 114 competitors and setting a new Marine Corps record during the two-day contest; he previously earned a podium finish in Utah. Tega Cay Sun

- ➤ The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets’ varsity teams dominated their matchups on Wednesday with girls lacrosse winning 19-9 on the road and boys lacrosse posting a 17-4 win at home, while varsity baseball shut out Northwestern 3-0 and is set for a rematch later this week (JV teams had mixed results). - ➤ Fort Mill’s girls soccer team beat crosstown rival Catawba Ridge in a penalty shootout at The Pit after being down 1 to 0 and tying with a late goal by Nora Manuncy. - ➤ On April 2, local softball teams took action before spring break as the Catawba Ridge Copperheads beat Fort Mill 7-2 and Nation Ford Falcons won 9-6 against Northwestern — Fort Mill’s baseball team rallied for a 12-11 win over Northwestern. Fort Mill Prep Sports
- ➤ Fort Mill High School athletes delivered a commanding performance at the Catawba Ridge Track and Field Meet on Wednesday, Apr. 1 + they swept team titles in the girls’ and boys’ divisions with 336 and 261 points respectively, outscoring Catawba Ridge and Indian Land. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ On Tuesday, Apr. 1, the Yellow Jackets won a 3-0 boys soccer match, a 5-3 softball contest and lost 1-0 in girls soccer against Nation Ford. The rivalry series — featuring lacrosse and baseball matchups on Wednesday — energized local sports fans. Tega Cay Sun
