  • Tyson Blanton and Chris Mitchell of Fort Mill Economic Partners presented the Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K and Fun Run on April 15—drawing local residents to join the fun athletic event.  WRHI

CULTURE NEWS

  • Julie Holmes from Indian Land was crowned Mrs. South Carolina 2025—an honor celebrated by her local community. She will represent the state at the livestreamed Mrs. America competition in Las Vegas—promising to support Ronald McDonald House and empower other women.  Tega Cay Sun

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On April 14, 2025, the York County Planning Commission approved six major rezoning & development proposals that affect projects on Sutton Road, Holler Estates, Newport Commons, Mt Gallant Road, Highway 160 W, and Corporate Blvd. Applicants met staff recommendations with some conditions, setting plans in motion for changes across these areas.  Tega Cay Sun
  • Fort Mill Police Department will move its headquarters from 112 Confederate Street to the new Town Hall office at 205 North White Street on April 21, and the current location will remain open until April 20 for public service. The modern facility will offer more space and better access — improving the department’s ability to serve the community.  WRHI
