Fort Mill is hosting a public tour of Col. Elliott White Springs' preserved office at the Town Hall—located at 205 N.

White Street—on May 2 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with volunteers from the Fort Mill History Museum ready to guide visitors and offer light refreshments for those who arrive early due to limited space.

Winthrop University honored outstanding students at its Student Affairs Awards—Fort Mill student Jessica Morgan received the American Legion Award for her leadership in biology and community research while social work graduate Cheyenne Wright was recognized for diversity and engagement efforts.

Winthrop University held its Student Affairs Awards on April 16 at the DiGiorgio Campus Center and honored students for excellence—Mathilde Pieri, a French marketing major, won the Mary Mildred Sullivan Award for her cultural outreach and academic leadership while Fort Mill's Jessica Morgan received the American Legion Award for her research and mentorship.

Fort Mill's Yellow Jackets won 12-7 over Catawba Ridge in the 5A Division II lacrosse playoffs on April 23 and improved to a 10-6 record—they will meet Nation Ford on Saturday, April 26.

The Fort Mill baseball team beat Austintown-Finch 12-0 at Myrtle Beach to boost their record to 17-5 as they prepare to play Nation Ford on Monday, April 28.
