- ➤ On April 26, 2025, runners and walkers gathered in Fort Mill's historic downtown for the South Carolina Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K where 876 participants enjoyed a festive course and a fresh strawberry post-run celebration. Overall winners Matthew Tina and Kaylie Dziedzina posted times of 16:11.8 and 19:21.7 respectively—local age group champions from Fort Mill and Tega Cay also showcased their skills. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ Today, Fort Mill High School’s baseball team faces rival Nation Ford at 7 p.m. at Nation Ford High School; the Yellow Jackets hold a 17-5 record while the Falcons stand at 11-12. Today, the varsity softball team will play Bearcats in Rock Hill and the girls lacrosse team competes at T.L. Hanna for the championship. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ On April 26th and 27th, the Tega Cay Men's Golf Association held its Member-Member golf tournament where teams showed strong play & sportsmanship. Winners included Bruce Fonte and Dale Grizer in Flight 1 and Jim Mowery and Brian Hyer in Flight 2. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ On April 28, the Yellow Jackets beat Nation Ford Falcons 6-4 with a vital run in the top of the seventh, moving to 12-4 in Region 3-5A while the girls’ lacrosse team won 18-8 over TL Hanna and will play for the state title on May 3. Catawba Ridge softball won 6-4 in 10 innings and the baseball team posted a 9-0 shutout as local golf teams also recorded strong scores—showing a busy day in Fort Mill sports. Fort Mill Prep Sports
