- ➤ The SC House of Representatives passed a bipartisan bill with an 86—18 vote that would extend paid parental leave for teachers and state employees by increasing leave for birth parents from six to 12 weeks and adding two weeks for non-birth parents. The bill is unlikely to pass the Senate before this session ends and will be reintroduced in January. WRHI
