- ➤ The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour will return to York County on June 7 to 8 with over 20 free, self-guided stops that offer family-friendly hands-on activities and live demonstrations of farming and art. One stop is at Crandall Bowles Children’s Farm in Fort Mill where visitors can enjoy animal interactions and creative workshops. WRHI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Fort Mill will host the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Unity Cemetery (303 Tom Hall Street) on Monday, May 26 at 10 a.m. Mayor Guynn Savage and town officials will lead a tribute to fallen service members and residents may email a loved one's details by May 19 for special honor while complimentary lemonade and ice cream will be served after the event. - ➤ The SCDNR Law Enforcement Division will conduct courtesy boat inspections at public boat landings across the state during Memorial Day weekend to check safety equipment and verify boat and motor registrations+ In York County, inspections are scheduled at Allison Creek Park Landing in Lake Wylie on Monday May 26th from 10 a.m. to noon, and officers will help boaters fix any issues without issuing citations. - ➤ South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis announced that the PalmettoBaby Grant Program will give Future Scholar grants to parents of babies born on May 29—families will also receive a goody bag with details on the state plan to help start saving for education. Tega Cay Sun
