GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, SCDOT closed the right lanes of I-77 Southbound at mile marker 82 over Cherry Road in York County for bridge deck repairs that finished by the end of the day, and drivers experienced delays while being urged to slow down near the work zone. WRHI
- ➤ Hurricane season began on June 1 and will run through November 30—NOAA forecasters predict an above-normal season due to warm ocean waters and weak wind shear. State emergency management officials urge residents to review evacuation zones, build emergency kits, and secure property before storms hit. WRHI
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Dr. Pepper announced a voluntary recall of over 19,000 cases of its Zero Sugar soda in South Carolina after cans marked as 'Zero Sugar' were found to contain full sugar and risk the health of diabetics—customers should check recalled products with a Best By date of February 16 and code XXXXRS05165 and return them for a full refund or dispose of them safely.
