- ➤ An 18-year-old was injured in a shooting on Zoar Road near Tega Cay early Sunday morning and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries—police are investigating the incident. Tega Cay Sun
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Service members in the South Carolina National Guard will see a rise in tuition assistance starting this fall as the program now offers up to $12,000 per academic year and up to $4,000 per semester for full-time students (the lifetime cap increases from $22,000 to $25,000) under the state budget changes. - ➤ The South Carolina Department of Transportation closed the right lanes of I-77 Northbound at mile marker 82 over Cherry Road in York County for bridge deck repairs around 10 a.m. on June 16 — drivers faced delays and were advised to take alternate routes while repairs finished by the end of the day.
