- ➤ Draper Wildlife Management Area in McConnells covers over 800 acres of woods, fields and ponds that attract hunters, hikers and wildlife watchers during the summer sunflower bloom. The site—managed by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and partly funded by York County—is open during daylight hours near SC Highway 322. Tega Cay Sun

- ➤ York County said a misleading email from Rock Hill’s Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department confused unincorporated youth & adult rec program participants. County management explained it worked with local municipalities to end an outdated rec tax and clarified it never offered to directly reimburse residents for sports registration fees. WRHI
