  • Metro Diner opened its first restaurant in the Indian Land/Fort Mill area on July 7 at 2077 Parkway Drive, Suite 101 in the CrossRidge center. The diner is known for modern takes on comfort food and currently serves from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily while planning to extend hours to serve dinner soon.  WRHI
  • SCHNEEBERGER, a Switzerland-based precision manufacturer, has chosen York County in Rock Hill for its first South Carolina facility—where it will lease a 42,000-square-foot building at 656 Red River Road and invest $3.2 million to create 101 jobs over the next five years. Operations will begin in the fourth quarter as the company supports local customers in electronics, medical, and packaging industries.  WRHI

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Fort Mill School District announced its free and reduced-price meal policy today for children in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, setting income and household size guidelines effective from July 1 through June 30. The policy requires families to submit documentation like SNAP or TANF case numbers or income details—foster children may also be eligible regardless of income.  WRHI
