- ➤ Fort Mill Post 43 American Legion baseball won its first state championship after 45 years by beating Lexington Post 7 8-6 at Fort Mill High School when they scored five runs in the sixth inning to come back from a 5-1 loss. The team finished the tournament 17-5 and Michael Caropreso was named MVP—marking a historic win for the program. Fort Mill Prep Sports
- ➤ The Fort Mill Post 43 Juniors beat North Augusta Post 71 by a score of 8 to 2 at Fort Mill High in the tournament semifinals — and they will host Lexington Post 7 in the state finals at 1 p.m. with a possible second game at 4 p.m. Their win raised their season record to 16 to 5 — keeping their championship hopes alive.
