  • Fort Mill authorities will not file charges after a fatal shooting at Motel 6 on Carowinds Boulevard, where a North Carolina man attacked his ride service driver on July 27 at 3:32 a.m.—the driver lawfully discharged his firearm in self-defense.  Tega Cay Sun

  • York County has hired Lisa Wolf-Chason as Public Information Director — she brings extensive experience from roles at Port Tampa Bay and Pinellas County Schools. She will join the growing communications team on September 29 to help connect citizens with their government.  Tega Cay Sun
  • Celeste Tiller from York County Regional Chamber-Workforce Development joined Manning Kimmel for Straight Talk on August 18th in a podcast conversation on workforce development. The discussion focused on job initiatives and local workforce challenges.  WRHI

  • Fort Mill High School girls swim team clinched their third consecutive state championship by scoring 483 points with the collective effort of twenty swimmers, overcoming a history of nine runner-up finishes & setting a new high standard for the program.
