- ➤ A Rock Hill Police K9 officer was stabbed multiple times while holding suspect Travonte Tate during a violent incident on August 28—Apollo is now at an emergency veterinary hospital and scheduled for surgery. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ Fort Mill police are investigating a homicide that occurred Thursday night just after 10:30 at Steele Street Park after reports of gunfire—officers found a 21-year-old man from Chester named Johnny Wayne Martin Cook who was pronounced dead that evening and noted there is no known threat to the community.
