🎓 Education
The Fort Mill School Board held its meeting on Sept.
1 (where it honored veteran staff and athletic achievements and approved new AP, honors, and college prep courses). The board also reported July 31 financial results and set a bond refunding for Sept. 2 and officer training for Sept. 30.
🏈 Sports
Winthrop women's soccer hosts Mercer today at 7 p.m. at Eagle Field in Rock Hill for a Crohn's & Colitis Awareness event; the team partners with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Carolina Chapter to support those affected by the disease.
The Fort Mill boys’ volleyball team lost 3-0 to the Indian Land Warriors in a non-region test on Sept.
2, dropping their record to 3-5. They will face Catawba Ridge on Sept. 8.
