- ➤ Carowinds’ Fury 325 was named the world’s best steel coaster by Amusement Today—its ninth win—and park officials said the title confirms its strong design and appeal. The coaster goes very fast and has steep drops that thrill riders. WRHI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A federal judge dismissed the NAACP's lawsuit against the Department of Education because the group did not show personal harm from the state's scholarship program—only an individual affected by the policy can file a claim. The program remains active and may face future legal challenges from directly harmed students or families. WRHI
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The South Carolina Department of Public Health confirmed a third measles case in an upstate resident who is unvaccinated — the person traveled internationally to a country with an outbreak and is now isolating at home as officials begin contact tracing. WRHI
