- ➤ A new sweet shop, Beignets & Brew French Donuts, will open at 360 Fort Mill Pkwy in early 2026 and bring made-to-order beignets and specialty coffees to the area. - ➤ South Carolina lawmakers are exploring changes to expand healthcare access by easing licensing for out-of-state doctors and giving advanced practice nurses more independence — officials say the measures may improve care in rural and underserved areas while increasing funding for community health centers. - ➤ Nation Ford High School beat Richland Northeast 56-27 on Thursday night as Malachi Drayton and Patience Andrews helped the team pull ahead. The Falcons built on their lead in the second half by recovering two fumbles that led to key touchdowns before the game ended. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ Catawba Ridge High School earned a 24-3 win over Spring Valley on Thursday night — their defense scored a pick-6 — as the Copperheads rallied with two touchdowns in the final quarter.
