  • Anne Springs Close Greenway will host its annual Boil, Brew & 'Que fall festival on October 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Greenway Gateway, and local vendors will serve barbecue, craft beers, and live music while family activities and a bourbon raffle raise funds for the Bridge Program.  Tega Cay Sun
  • Bakers Buzzin', a cherished children’s cooking studio in Tega Cay, closed its doors on January 19 after 11 years due to rising operational costs—rising rent and increased property taxes made it unsustainable. The owners confirmed scheduled parties and events proceeded as planned—families redeemed gift certificates before the studio closed.  Tega Cay Sun
  • Yesterday, Kelly Edinger (ex-director) and JP Duncan (board member) from Chrysalis Autism Center gave an update on the center and previewed a golf tournament that will be held soon.  WRHI

  • On September 17, The Citadel awarded gold stars to cadets and students who earned a 3.7 GPA or higher in the spring semester and placed them on the dean's list.   • WalletHub’s new report finds that South Carolina holds a middle ranking for teacher support as the state has raised starting salaries but still faces shortages and large classroom sizes, especially in rural districts.
