- ➤ More than 200 South Carolina Army National Guard soldiers returned home after a deployment in Washington, D.C. that lasted several months, where they provided security support for federal law enforcement agencies—assisting with securing key locations and managing traffic. Tega Cay Sun

- ➤ Fort Mill’s Yellow Jackets secured decisive wins 40-27 over Northwestern and 33-12 over South Pointe at Nation Ford High School in Week 3 of the girls flag football league—Rock Hill also remained strong with wins over Catawba Ridge and Nation Ford. The six-team league gives female athletes a new chance to build skills ahead of Week 4 matchups on Sept. 29 at Northwestern High School in Rock Hill. Tega Cay Sun
