- ➤ The South Carolina Department of Public Health confirmed that two York County skunks tested positive for rabies on Oct 1—one found near Bookout and Percival roads led to the quarantine of two dogs while another near Bynum and Richland avenues resulted in one person exposure. Officials advise avoiding contact with wild animals and keeping pets up to date on rabies shots. Tega Cay Sun
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Northwestern High School Trojans overcame an early deficit and pulled ahead with a 21-point surge in the third quarter to beat the Clover Blue Eagles 52-24 Friday night—showing a strong comeback. Running back Xavier Means scored two key touchdowns to secure the win—highlighting the team’s determination. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ The Rock Hill Bearcats won 23-16 over the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets Friday night as defense limited a strong rally and left Fort Mill's quarterback struggling. Fort Mill will play at Northwestern next Friday — a matchup fans are watching closely. Tega Cay Sun
