- ➤ Fort Mill School District named Heather Aiazzi the 2024-2025 District Support Staff Employee of the Year for her work as a mental health counselor after moving from Fort Mill Middle School to Pleasant Knoll Middle School. She was honored at the district's annual kickoff event (she received a $1,500 award, a commemorative ring, a gift basket and a two-night stay at Springmaid Mountain Resort) for her dedicated service. - ➤ The Fort Mill School Board meeting on October 21st showed strong academic progress and careful spending as finance leaders reported $24.21 million in revenue against $28.92 million in expenses — the deficit was covered by the fund balance. The board approved eight overnight field trips and heard first readings on policies for livestreaming board meetings and school-nurse unencumbered time, while the superintendent noted enrollment at 18,244 and high attendance rates at every school.
