- ➤ Carowinds will host its annual WinterFest starting November 28 with new live shows, interactive attractions and a debut Christmas Village featuring a 70-foot tree lighting at 6 p.m. The event will offer extended ride access, a holiday menu of 33 seasonal items and a New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31. - ➤ Governor Henry McMaster and German Ambassador Jens Hanefeld signed a Joint Declaration of Intent today to form an economic partnership that will boost jobs and investment in the state. The agreement will create a working group (focused on energy resiliency, automotive and mobility technologies, and life sciences) to coordinate joint initiatives and strengthen South Carolina's global competitiveness. - ➤ Catawba Ridge High School celebrated five student-athletes on Fall Signing Day—families, coaches, and teammates gathered—and the signees signed national letters of intent to play Division I sports at colleges in South Carolina and beyond. Tega Cay Sun
- ➤ The Fort Mill Jackets boys won their season opener at Fort Mill High with an 81-71 overtime win over the top-ranked Hunter Huss Huskies on November 21—led by AJ Washington, Jermier Nelson, and Wallace Campbell, they will host York Prep on November 24. The Lady Jackets lost 59-56 to the Lady Huskies with key plays from Kate Marker, Gigi Demarco, and Colbie Wolf, and they will play Bamberg-Ehrhardt at Heathwood Hall on November 25.
